Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes on Apples iPhones?

Monday, March 3, 2008

In the Saturday/Sunday March 1-2, 2008 edition of the Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition, I found an interesting short article, "Apple is Transparent in deed to broaden iPhones Reach".
It talks about the new road map that Apple has unveiled to get more software onto the Apple iPhone...which will translate to more users adopting the phone -- including business people.
Part of the strategy announced is for Microsoft Exchange server and IBM's Lotus Notes to be supported on the iPhone. Wow! Can you believe that? Apple working together with Microsoft and IBM?
Is this the secret for them to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of the year as they promised?
BTW, They already sold 4 million...just 6 million to go!

Official New Price of Apple iPhone: $1,483.00

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

It's official, here's the "original price" for the Apple iPhone that's fully unsubsidized: $1,483.00 according to the Wall Street Journal today.

Now, T-Mobile will have to allow the device on the networks of competitors. The company said it would sell the "unlocked" iPhone for $1,483.

Is that crazy or what? We already know that the actual manufacturing cost is nowhere near that number. How can they sell it with over a $1,000 margin on the product?
